I keep getting critasied for playing this to fast? That sure is the right speed to play this??

I didn't think it was too fast, and I certainly didn't care for the nasty tone of the latest comment. It seems to me that they could have been more encouraging.

I couldn't agree more with you Jason, "Playing it to fast" I mean have they ever played that piece? I don't think so no! Its like a Toccata if you have every seen the music and there are a couple of tricky bits in there to.

Take a look at some ideas of my Andrew Moore Series I got up on there especially the part 5!

Hi Rob
I think those comments on Youtube re your Prelude and fugue in D min were uncalled for. Comments should be made to encourage the performer.
For my part the pieces were not too fast. In fact the fugue at your speed is slower that that to which I am accustomed. So there you go!
But speaking as a 'friend" from this Forum a few bars were certainly rushed, and once you fix them up all will be fine. Also have another look at the subject of the fugue at its first entry, which went a bit astray in the third bar.
It is interesting to read the comments by Aaronfolwell who claims to be a cathedral organist. He should realize that the Eight Short Preludes and Fugues although in the Bach series of Organ music, are highly unlikely to be by the great JSB. Popular belief attributes them to a pupil of Bach or perhaps to J.Krebs or W.F.Bach.
Aaronfolwell also wants the pieces played using strings with"wonderful romantic sounds". I mean, really, who is this guy trying to kid.
Bach romantic??? Shocked
I don't think so!

This is the arrangement of The Old Hundredth by Ralph Vaughan Williams. It's readily available at most good Church Music retailers.
